Export and Share Your Itinerary
Once your itinerary is planned, there are several ways to share it — with travel companions who don't have an account, with a family member who wants to know your plans, or simply to keep it accessible offline. You can export a polished PDF, share a live link that stays up to date, or subscribe to a calendar feed that syncs directly with your existing calendar app.
- 1
Export as a PDF
In the Itinerary tab toolbar, click the download or print button. A dialog opens where you choose your paper size — A4 for most of the world, US Letter for North America. Click Export PDF and the app renders your full itinerary — including the route overview map and weather forecast strips — and downloads a PDF named after your trip.
Tip: To get a leaner PDF without item images, collapse any image panels before exporting — the export captures exactly what's visible on screen. - 2
Share a read-only link
Click the Share button in the Itinerary tab. This generates a public link to a live read-only view of your trip — the full itinerary, route map, stop weather, and photos. Anyone with the link can view it; no Smooth Traveling account is required. You can revoke the link at any time from the same menu.
Tip: The shared view updates in real time as you edit the trip, so companions always see the latest version without you having to re-send a PDF. - 3
Sync to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook
Click the calendar icon in the Itinerary tab toolbar to find the webcal subscription link. Copy it and paste it into your calendar app — Google Calendar (Add other calendars > From URL), Apple Calendar (File > New Calendar Subscription), or Outlook (Add calendar > Subscribe from web). The feed updates automatically whenever you edit the trip.

Export the Stop-by-Stop Guide
For road trips, scroll to the bottom of the Itinerary tab to find the Stop-by-Stop Guide — a destination-focused view of the trip organised by city rather than by day. Click Export Guide to download it as its own PDF, separate from the day-by-day itinerary export.
