Check Weather Forecasts for Your Stops

Knowing whether to pack an umbrella or sunscreen before you leave is far more useful than finding out at the airport. Smooth Traveling pulls live weather forecasts for each stop on your route, anchored to your actual arrival dates, so you can see the expected conditions for every city before you fly.

  1. 1

    Forecasts on the Route tab

Open the Route tab for any trip with stops. Each stop card shows a 3-day forecast strip beneath the city name — a weather icon and the expected high and low temperatures. The forecast is anchored to the date you arrive at that stop.

Tip: The forecast is anchored to your arrival date at each stop, not today's date — so if you arrive in Florence on 15 August, the strip shows the 15–17 August forecast.
  2. 2

    Forecasts on the Itinerary tab

In the Itinerary tab, a compact weather pill row appears beneath each day's title showing the expected conditions for that day's stop. The forecast updates automatically whenever you adjust your travel dates or change which stop you're at for a given day.

  3. 3

    Understanding the forecast window

Forecasts use the Open-Meteo weather service, which provides accurate data up to 16 days ahead. Within that window you'll see date-specific forecasts. For trips starting more than 16 days out, the strip switches to current conditions and shows a small ⚠ label so you know it's a reference reading, not a prediction.

  4. 4

    Forecasts in the PDF export

When you export your itinerary as a PDF using the Export PDF button, the weather forecast strip is included on each day header and on the route overview map automatically — no extra steps needed.
